MUSEE AMERICA - GOLD BEACH

The AMERICA museum tells of the first airmail flight between the USA and France (between New-York and Ver-sur-Mer) on the first of July 1927 and the early days of airmail.

The GOLD BEACH museum explains the painstaking preparation for the invasion by the Allied intelligence services and the successful assault on Gold Beach King (the British beachhead) by 69 brigade of 50th Infantry Division on the 6th of June 1944.

The "Gold Beach" museum tells the story of the British invasion in this area, from the painstaking reconnaissance of the beaches to the storming of the beach by the British 50th Infantry Division on 6th June 1944.
